Getting Started
- Download/update the Valley Metro app (version 3.3.0 required)
- Create or log in to your account with the same email address Culdesac has on file. If you'd rather another email, reach out.
- Join the Culdesac Tempe program by going to More > Fare Programs > Join Fare Program > Culdesac Tempe. Detailed instructions here.
- The Platinum Pass will show up within the app's QR code in about 1 hour.
Using your pass
- Open the Valley Metro App and click the purple QR code button in the center of the menu at the bottom of the screen.
- Hold your phone below the scanner at the light rail station entrance, at the front of the bus, or on board the Streetcar.

The Valley Metro light rail connects Culdesac Tempe to the best restaurants in Phoenix, the best farmers markets in Mesa, and to all sorts of fantastic places across the Phoenix metropolitan area. The Smith-Martin/Apache Blvd station is the Culdesac station and the crosswalk in front of Cocina Chiwas takes you right there! Check out the Valley Metro website or Google or Apple Maps directions for real time arrival information or view the rail and bus system map.
Simply open the Valley Metro App and click the purple QR code button in the center of the menu at the bottom of the screen to pay with your Platinum Pass. The cost of your rides are on us! Your Valley Metro Platinum Pass will be provided at move-in.
