🌺 Rooted in Community: a Neighborhood Bougainvillea Project
Our "Bloom Program" is our community initiative to bring vibrant color, life, and creativity to our front porches and patios. Through this program, residents can receive a bougainvillea plant to plant in a pot outside their unit and help make our neighborhood more welcoming.
How to Participate
- Sign up through the office or via email us directly to request your bougainvillea.
- Pick up your plant on the scheduled distribution day(s).
- Follow the care instructions to help your bougainvillea thrive.
Participation is completely voluntary, but we encourage all residents who want to add beauty to their outdoor spaces to join in!
Bougainvillea Care Tips
💧 Water: Water daily during summer; reduce to weekly in cooler months.
☀️ Sunlight: Full sun is ideal — these plants thrive in our Arizona sunshine.
✂️ Trimming: Lightly prune to maintain shape or remove dead blooms.
🪴 Drainage: Ensure pots or planters drain well to prevent root rot.
🚶 Safety: Keep pathways clear for yourself and neighbors.
Tip: Adding mulch to the soil can help retain moisture during hot days.
