Our Sumn Fleet

The single black Tesla Model Y with the Sumn label is located next to the Envoy car fleet at the southwestern corner of the Culdesac Tempe parking lot.

Rates and Availability

Sumn cars can be booked on demand and are used on a first come, first serve basis.

Booking can end anytime, 24/7.

Rates start at $13.99/hr or $79/day + $1 unlock fee.

Get Started

  1. Download the Sumn app
    1. App Store: Download on iOS
    2. Google Play: Download on Android
  2. Create an account and add your profile information, including your name, email, and date of birth.
  3. Select Begin Verification, uploading photos of your drivers license and selfie identification.
  4. If you already have insurance, please email a copy of your insurance card or certificate of insurance to support@sumn.io.
    If you don’t currently have auto insurance, text (512) 360-8735 and Sumn will assist you with getting set up.
     Sumn is offering a special rebate for the first three months to help offset the cost of your personal insurance
  5. To view available vehicles, navigate to the Sumn tab, then find & join your community using your access code.
  6. Tap "Sumn" > "Select Community" > Culdesac Tempe > Join Community > Use access code 593132 > Enter
You must be 21 years old to rent a Sumn vehicle.

Renting a Sumn Vehicle

  1. To rent the car, go into the Sumn app and select the date, time, and duration of the rental.
  2. Rates start at $13.99/hr or $79/day + $1 unlock fee.
  3. When you're ready to begin your rental, start your ride in the Sumn app.
  4. Your phone is the key, so make sure you have Bluetooth and GPS turned on to connect to the car.
  5. Use the Sumn app to unlock and lock the vehicle. In the app, tap "Start Ride," turn on GPS if it isn't already, and tap "Unlock a Car."

Returning a Sumn Vehicle

  1. Return the car to its designated spot in the parking lot. Entering the parking lot from Apache Blvd, drive past the second trash enclosure, then park on the left at the designated charging station. Please back into the parking spot, so the charging port is close to the charging pole.
  2. please plug the vehicle into the designated charger upon return.
  3. Find the credit card-shaped charging card in the car and tap it on the QR code on the EV charger outside the car. The blue light above "Charge" should turn on.
  4. Return the card to the inside of the vehicle.
  5. End your rental in the Sumn app.

Report any issues through the SUMN app or contact the support team. Sumn performs regular maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.

It is the driver's responsibility to manage the battery range of the vehicle and to successfully return the vehicle to its parking space.
